Who Are We?

Spirit Support // 心灵扶持 (xinlingfuchi) is a not-for-profit coalition of groups and organisations in Australia. It is like a family connected by Jesus’ love. Coming to a new country from overseas, we know that there are many challenges. We want to help you, and those close to you, to receive the greatest and deepest support that Jesus is offering. We would love you to be part of our family as well, with God as our Father supporting us in everything.

We are part of different churches and organisations around Australia, with the common desire to show the love of Jesus to international students around the nation.

“We love, because God first loved us”

Our logo, is a heart being supported in the middle of waves. We have experienced God supporting our own hearts amidst many challenges, and we believe he can help you too.

“We love, because God first loved us” is from the Bible, 1 John 4:19. It shows us that God’s love comes first, even while our own hearts are so empty of love. But when we have received God’s love, he helps us to love him as our kind Father, and to love each other in a close community.

We hope you can have the same experience that we have had.

Our Beliefs

We share a foundation of faith with mainline Christian churches throughout the world:

• The Holy Scriptures, as originally given, are divinely inspired and infallible and have supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
• The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are in complete unity in the Godhead. Humanity is universally sinful and guilty since the fall, rendering men and women subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.
• Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and his birth by the virgin Mary.
• People may be redeemed from the guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death, as our representative and substitute, of Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God.
• Jesus Christ resurrected bodily from the dead.
• The work of the Holy Spirit is necessary to make the death of Christ effective in the individual sinner, granting him or her repentance towards God, and faith in Jesus Christ.
• The Holy Spirit lives and works in those who believe in Jesus Christ.
